We separate the functions of forming the material from
moving the material through the roll-form. META-FORM consists of a DRIVE
ASSEMBLY comprised of a series of drive rollers, and a DIE ASSEMBLY made
up of a series of dies and a guide attatched to a spine.
The DRIVE ASSEMBLY

The DRIVE ASSEMBLY is for the purpose of drawing the material through the
machine.
The DIE ASSEMBLY
The DIE ASSEMBLY is for the purpose of forming the shape. The guide serves
to align material with the drive rollers as well as the dies. Individual
dies progressively form the material as it is drawn through the machine.
The spine is the backbone which supports the dies and guide as a unit.
Rapid Change
Three Easy Steps
- Lift off the die on the drive unit
- Set in the desired die
- Start feeding the proper blank. No adjustment is Required.
DRIVE STAND
|
FORMING ROLLERS
|
|
This is a top and bottom drive stand powered
by motors with gear reducers. Steel drive wheels are used for heavier
metals. Neoprene wheels are used on drive stands designed for lighter and
prepainted material.
|
The forming and holding rollers are all standard
"off the shelf" bearings. Some bearings have a special hardness case
pressed over them to perform a particular operation.

Electrical Panel
All necessary controls are factory installed. Lights indicate electrical
motor operation. Panic stops are located at ends of machine as well as on
a remote extension. Easy access to all electric circuits and controls. Lights
indicate whenever trouble is encountered.

META-FORM Roll Forming Equipment
4 Major Advantages that increase production
Time: Change dies in minutes instead of hours.
People: Die change or operation does not require skilled personnel.
Size & Versatility: The META-FORM system is capable of forming
light weight prepainted material with gentle rubber drive wheels while another
machine equipped with top and bottom dive steel wheels can form 9 gauge
metal at 240 FPM or higher speeds. Either machine handling the extremes
of material can accommodate extremes in widths and swing.
Money Savings: The cost of META-FORM Drive Unit plus a die is substantially
the same as for conventional equipment to perform the same operation. With
the addition of a second or third die, the investment requirement per form
is greatly reduced when compared to conventional equipment.
Plus 3 other advantages
Space: Because of the short time required to change dies one META-FORM
line with a rack of dies may replace two or more complete lines of conventions
equipment thus eliminating the duplication of decoiling, shearing, roll-out
and stacking equipment and thus saving much valuable floor space in your
plant.
Protects Finish: The forming dies are anti-friction idler rollers,
which eliminate sliding friction between the die face and material being
formed.
Flexability: The dies are design with the aid of computers. This
allows rapid design and delivery of many dies, either initially or as add-on
forms after delivery of the original system.
Developed and manufactured by a production plant with production needs
in mind.
